As an executive producer for NBC’s popular “Stay Tuned” Snapchat news program, journalism alumna Angela Grande ’05 is uniquely qualified to weigh in on the state of journalism today—and the unlikely media outlets changing the way we consume information.
Grande, a 15-year veteran of the news industry and Emmy winner, is the 2020 recipient of the Raymond Simon Institute’s Outstanding Alumna Award to recognize her successful career in broadcasting. In 2022, Grande was named one of Broadcasting + Cable and Multichannel News' "40 Under 40" visionaries in the TV industry by TV Week.
She began her career as a News Producer at WKTV in Utica during her senior year at Utica, going on to work as a producer in Syracuse & Albany, NY before making her way to WNBC in New York City - where she spent 7 years as one of the station's top producers.
In 2018, she joined NBC News Digital to helped develop a first-of-its kind news show on Snapchat: Stay Tuned. As Executive Producer of the brand, she and her team built a loyal audience of 11 million subscribers - among the youngest generation of news consumers.
Today, Grande is Director of Streaming News Channels for NBCUniversal Local - where she's charting the launch of NBC and Telemundo owned stations’ new local news channels for streaming platforms.
